Beyond our local borders, Helping Hands Mission is deeply committed to extending hope and help to communities in Liberia. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focus on breaking the cycle of poverty through education and direct community support.
Education Empowerment
We believe education is the key to an empowered future. Our goal is to promote lifelong learning and skill-building for under-resourced students in Liberia.
- School Supplies: We run an annual “Backpack to School Campaign” to provide children with the essential supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.
- Scholarships: We work to provide scholarships to deserving students who would otherwise be unable to continue their education.
- School Revitalization: We partner with schools in rural areas to help them rebuild and create a safe and effective learning environment.
Community Support & Relief
We work to address the urgent and ongoing needs of the communities we serve.
- Feeding Programs: A major ongoing project is our child feeding initiative, which provides nutritious meals to children at partner locations like the Christ Healing Hands Church Ministries International in Fiamah, Sinkor.
- Basic Needs: Through monthly outreach drives, we distribute food, clothing, and other basic supplies to vulnerable families in partnership with local churches.
Future Projects: Gonzipo Public School
A key prospective project for HHM is the revitalization of the Gonzipo Public School in Bomi County. The school is in dire need of support. Currently, classroom doors are broken, including the door to the principal’s office. Students are forced to bring their own chairs from home each day and take them back after class because the school has none. Our goal is to partner with this school to repair the infrastructure, provide desks and chairs, and ensure students have a safe and dignified place to learn.
